Adam Gowlett receives UDIA Distinguished Service Award from fellow board member Nathan Lee Long

The UDIA Queensland is proudly celebrating 50 years as a united industry delivering homes, spaces, and places for Queenslanders. The Institute’s Board awards this honour to those who act selflessly for the advancement of the Institute and the property industry by way of exceptional work on matters relevant to our members. The award recognises outstanding, expert contributions to the Institute over a period of ten years or more.

The winner of UDIA Queensland’s Distinguished Service Award for 2021 is our very own Adam Gowlett!

Adam received his award in Cairns in front of a large turn-out of Cairns members and guests.

Adam held the role of Cairns Branch President for three terms but even after that period has been prolific in providing timely and expert contributions to critical policy submissions on topics as far ranging as coastal and erosion prone matters, planning scheme, planning reform, environmental overlays, legislative traps, noise barriers, social and affordable housing, subdivision, development incentives detailed development manual  and scheme requirements, electricity infrastructure charging, and HomeBuilder. He has also supported local improvements including the Port redevelopment, State Development area, City Centre master plan and Esplanade dining.
